What Post Type do I choose?
Buzz: If you’d like to get word out about your business, a new feature, etc.
Review: If you’d like bloggers to try something out, go to a certain section of your site and provide feedback.
Opinion: Just as it states, if you want true opinions from bloggers on your product, site, service, etc. The appropriate tone to select with Opinion is Neutral.
Does the category indicate what types of blogs will list my posts?
Yes. Be sure to use this tool to your advantage. This helps define the niche you are targeting with your campaign. Important to note: please capture all appropriate categories to avoid unnecessary limitations on your blogger audience.
How much should I offer per post?
The minimum offer amount is determined automatically based on the segmentation settings you choose. If you do not opt for segmentation, the minimum offer amount is $5.00. To remain competitive in the marketplace, bloggers expect a higher offer amount with increased requirements.
In Step 1, What does the question: ‘Do you require tracking?’ mean?
If you would like to know how many views each post submitted to your opportunity receives, you would select Yes to this question. That indicates to the bloggers they must insert an invisible image into their post, allowing us to track views.
Why am I asked to indicate the number of posts in both Step 3 (maximum postings) and Step 4 (number of posts)?
In Step 3 of Creating an Opportunity, you will need to indicate the Maximum number of posts for the whole opportunity. In Step 4, you can actually divide that number among multiple different links.
How do I add multiple links to the opportunity?
In Step 4, you will need to indicate that a link is required. You may then enter the URL and related text for the first link, and indicate how many of your maximum posts you’d like to link to this URL.
Next, click on the Add a Link, and repeat the process with the next link information.
How are multiple links distributed to the bloggers?
The links are distributed evenly to the bloggers, and each blogger will see only one of the links when they access your opportunity. If you have entered 5 unique links, the first blogger will see #1, the second will see #2, and so on.
Can I request multiple links be added to each post?
Yes, but a few things to keep in mind. When you enter multiple links in Step 2, each blogger will only see one of those links. So if you want each blogger to include multiple links, you will need to specify the information, including link URL, in the opportunity’s description. Also keep in mind, bloggers expect to see higher offer amounts when more requirements are added to the opportunities.
Why would I want to add multiple links to one opportunity?
Two common reasons are: to link to multiple pages, and to include multiple keywords or phrases as the related text to one URL.
Do I want a Direct or Tracking Link?
A direct link is just that. You provide the URL to your site, and that is the link used in the posts.
A tracking link is a redirected link that allows us to track for you how many clicks your URL received from each submitted post. This second option will not improve your SEO.
Can I update an opportunity once it is approved?
You are unable to update your opportunity once it has been approved by our Review Team. Once it has been approved, it is available to bloggers immediately. Making changes could potentially result in a submitted post being rejected when the blogger met the initial requirements.
You can only update the maximum number of posts available if your opportunity has not yet expired. You would do so by going to your Manage Opportunities page. Find the opportunity that you’d like to add more posts to, click on the number showing in the Max column. You will be taken to the Links for Opportunity page. Click on the number in the Max column again, and you will be asked if you want to change it.
How can I see the posts that have been submitted to my opportunity?
Log in, go to the Manage Opportunities page. Select the Opportunity Name you want, and you are taken to the Opportunity Details page. You will see the details you entered at the top of the page. Scroll to the bottom, and you will see the individual posts listed. You may click on the Post Title of any of them to be taken to the post itself. On the Opportunity Details page, you will also see the number of Views (if you requested tracking) and clicks (if you selected a tracking link), the date the post was submitted, the post’s status, and the cost. You may also rate each blogger on a scale of 1-5 tacks (with 5 being the best).
What does ‘Status’ mean next to the Post Titles in my Opportunity Details?
This status reflects where each post is in the Review process here at PayPerPost.
Submitted: Blogger has submitted it for review, but the post has not yet been reviewed against the requirements in your opportunity and the PPP Terms of Service (ToS).
Approved: Post met all requirements and ToS, the Review Team has approved it. If the link is live in 30 days, the blogger will be paid the offer amount.
Rejected: The post did not meet requirements. The blogger has the ability to make any necessary changes and resubmit the post.
What if I am not happy with one of the posts?
Please contact us at advertisersupport AT payperpost DOT com. It will be helpful if you can indicate to us which post, and what the issue is. If needed, we can contact the blogger, or be certain the post is rejected. If the blogger met all requirements, there is a chance the post will remain approved. However, this may assist in crafting future opportunities.
What is the creation fee?
With each new opportunity, there is a minimal administration fee of $5.00 for the opportunity's creation.
How can I view other recent opportunities from other advertisers?
On your advertiser dashboard, once you are logged in and have created your first opportnuity, you will see a button ‘View Marketplace’ in the upper right. Selecting that will take you to our current opportunities.
What is your policy on disclosure?
As of 12/18/06, PayPerPost requires disclosure from participating bloggers. Please see more details here.
Why do I have an ‘Available Balance’ that is different from my ‘Actual Balance’?
Your Actual Balance is the funds in your account that have not physically been paid out to bloggers and PPP. However, some of that money may be held for open opportunities. Remember, bloggers and PPP don’t get paid until approved posts are active for 30 days. So there may be an amount on hold for a current opportunity that should pay out in 30 days or more, depending on the run time of the opportunity.
Your Available Balance is the money available to you to use toward new Opportunities.
