General Questions

How do I get started in the marketplace?

1. Register with PayPerPost
2. Add money to your account.
3. Create an Opportunity, and submit it for review.

What if I am having problems adding funds to my account?

We apologize for any inconvenience. Please send a Ticket to Customer Service by selecting Help or Contact Support after logging into your PPP account.

How long will it take for my Opportunity to be reviewed?

Our Review Team works every day, and you can expect to have your Opportunity reviewed within 24-48 hours. If it is delayed for any reason, you will receive a note from our Review Team.

What is your policy on disclosure?

PayPerPost requires disclosure from participating bloggers. Please see our Code of Ethics.

Why do I have an 'Available Balance' that is different from my 'Actual Balance'?

Your Actual Balance represents the funds in your account that have not physically been paid out to Bloggers and PPP. However, some of that money may be held for open Opportunities. Remember, Bloggers and PPP don't get paid until approved posts are active for 30 days. So there may be an amount on hold for a current Opportunity that should pay out in 30 days or more, depending on the run time of the Opportunity. Your Available Balance is the money available to you to use toward new Opportunities.

Creating an Opportunity

Does the category segmentation limit what types of blogs will list my posts?

Yes. Be sure to use this tool to your advantage. This helps define the niche you are targeting with your campaign. Important to note: please capture all appropriate categories to avoid unnecessary limitations on your Blogger audience.

How much should I offer per post?

Cost per post is dependent on different factors, such as your goal, your total spend and fair marketplace values. We employ a revenue share pricing model, meaning your offer amount is shared between the Blogger and PayPerPost. Feel free to contact our Solution Sales Team for assistance in creating a compelling and effectively priced opportunity.

Why am I asked to indicate the number of posts in both Step 2 (maximum postings) and Step 3 (number of posts)?

In Step 2 of Creating an Opportunity, you will need to indicate the Maximum number of posts for the whole Opportunity. In Step 3, you can actually divide that number among multiple different links.

How do I add multiple links to the Opportunity?

Enter the URL and related text for the first link, and indicate how many of your maximum posts you'd like to link to this URL (Max Posts) as well as how many posts you would like released per day (Max Posts Per Day.) PayPerPost now gives you the option to time release your links and release a certain number per day instead of just all at once. When you’re done adding your link click on the Add a Link, and repeat the process with the next link information. You can only add up to 10 links and anchor text with this method.

How do I add more than 10 links and anchor texts?

You now have the ability to add more links and anchor text with great ease by inputting all your information into a spreadsheet and then uploading the spreadsheet in Step 3. In Step 3 a sample spreadsheet is downloadable so you can use a template to upload your data.

How are multiple links distributed to the bloggers?

The links are distributed evenly to the Bloggers, and each Blogger will see only one of the links when they access your Opportunity. If you have entered 5 unique links, the first Blogger will see #1, the second will see #2, and so on.

Can I request multiple links be added to each post?

Yes, but a few things to keep in mind. When you enter multiple links in Step 2, each Blogger will only see one of those links. So if you want each Blogger to include multiple links, you will need to specify the information, including link URL, in the Opportunity's full description. Also keep in mind, Bloggers expect to see higher offer amounts when more requirements are added to the Opportunities.

Why would I want to add multiple links to one Opportunity?

Two common reasons are: to link to multiple pages, and to include multiple keywords or phrases as the related text to one URL.

Can I update an Opportunity once it is approved?

You are unable to update your Opportunity once it has been approved by our Review Team. Once it has been approved, it is available to Bloggers immediately. Making changes could potentially result in a submitted post being rejected when the Blogger met the initial requirements.

You can only update the maximum number of posts available if your Opportunity has not yet expired. You would do so by going to your Manage Opportunities page. Find the Opportunity that you'd like to add more posts to, click on the number showing in the Max column. You will be taken to the Links for Opportunity page.

Can one Blogger take the same Opportunity more than once?

No, each Blogger may only submit one post to each of your Opportunities.

How can I see the posts that have been submitted to my Opportunity?

Log in, go to the Manage Opportunities page. Select the Opportunity Name you want, and you are taken to the Opportunity Details page. You will see the details you entered at the top of the page. Scroll to the bottom, and you will see the individual posts listed. You may click on the Post Title of any of them to be taken to the post itself. On the Opportunity Details page, you will see the date the post was submitted, the post's status, and the cost.

What does 'Status' mean next to the Post Titles in my Opportunity Details?

This status reflects where each post is in the Review process here at PayPerPost.

Submitted: Blogger has submitted it for review, but the post has not yet been reviewed against the requirements in your Opportunity and the PPP Terms of Service (ToS).

Approved: Post met Opportunity requirements and ToS and has been accepted for payment by PayPerPost. If the link remains live for 30 days the Blogger will be paid the appropriate offer amount.

Rejected: The post did not meet requirements. The Blogger has the ability to make any necessary changes and resubmit the post.

What if I am not happy with one of the posts?

Please flag the post and provide a brief description of the issue. Flagging a Blogger creates a Ticket to Customer Love for follow up. If needed, we can contact the Blogger, or be certain the post is rejected. If the Blogger met all requirements, there is a chance the post will remain approved. However, this may assist in crafting future Opportunities.

How do I flag a Post?

Click on the flag icon in the row corresponding with the post in question and a shadow box will appear and you can create a custom message for our Customer Love Team. In this box is where you include what you feel is wrong with the post and what you would like us to look into. Please note, flags are addressed in a first come, first serve basis and could take up to 3-5 business days to be addressed originally. To review your flag’s status or standing in queue log into your account, click on the ‘Account info’ tab and then click on the button that says ‘View Flags’ about halfway down the page. Here you will be able to see all of your flags as well as their standing in queue.

How and why would I ban a Blogger?

Advertisers may ban a Blogger for any reason, but we most often find bans happen when an Advertiser has determined the related blog does not meet the Advertiser's goals within PayPerPost. You will find the ban option next to the flag option for a submitted post. Click on Ban, and provide information as to why you are banning this Blogger. Banning a Blogger will not initiate a Ticket to Customer Love. Important to note: Once you ban a Blogger, s/he cannot take any future Opportunities of yours. You may remove the ban on a Blogger at any time.

How and why would I bench a Blogger?

Advertisers may bench a Blogger for any reason, but we most often find benches used when the Advertiser wants to ensure their future Opportunities are reaching the broadest possible Blogger audience. You may bench a Blogger for 30, 60 or 90 days. During that time, the Blogger will not be able to take your Opportunities. Click on Bench, and provide information as to why you are benching the Blogger. Benching a Blogger will not initiate a Ticket to Customer Love. Important to note: Benching Bloggers will limit the remaining audience available for your Opportunities by excluding those Bloggers you have benched. Benching is not for a specific blog, it is a bench of the Blogger – therefore if a Blogger has 3 blogs but is benched by you, they cannot take your Opportunity with any of their blogs. When you create an Opportunity, any Blogger that takes that Opportunity will automatically be benched for 60 days. As with manual benches you can log into your account and remove this bench at any time.
